Restorative Yoga is a style that encourages physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. It is a restful practice that holds about 5 poses (asanas) for a longer duration using props like yoga blocks, blankets, bolsters or aerial swings on occasion. It is a practice of deep relaxation that emphasizes the meditative aspect of yoga; the union of body, spirit and mind. Yoga Nidra may be incorporated which is a guided meditation known to help relieve stress as well as sound meditation through instruments/music, essential oils and readings. All levels welcome.
